Summary
The test simulated the filtration capability of KleenOil bypass filter to clean dirty hydraulic fluid. The fluid used for the testing had an initial fluid cleanliness of 23/18 per ISO 4406. The testing consisted of a recirculation loop of constant bypass flow of 3 quarts per minute entered the KleenOil filter. The test ran for 6 hours, measuring cleanliness of the fluid every 30 minutes.
Result
The ISO 4406 Cleanliness Code of the fluid after 6 hours of circulation via Kleenoil Filter improved from 23/18 to 14/11. This indicates that the particle contaminants existing in the hydraulic fluid significantly dropped.
